The Abita Blues Band can be found playing their special brand of blues
at festivals and clubs around the
North
shore and beyond. Part swamp boogie, part delta blues, and always funky,
Abita Blues keeps 'em coming back for more.
The venues that they have visited include a live broadcast on WWOZ and
RADIO HOLSTEBRO in Denmark,
Tab Benoit’s Music Cafe, Ruby’s Roadhouse, Tap Room, Rosie’s
Tavern in Abita Springs, Ya Ya Blues bar, Mules Pub, The Green Room,
Jefferson Parish Family Gras 2008 and opening for Cowboy Mouth at the
2008 Crescent City Classic.
Abita Blues has even had the honor of playing with the original Blues
Brother himself,
Dan Aykroyd aka Elwood Blues at the Madisonville Lighthouse Fundraiser
event. Don't believe it? We've got the pictures to prove it.

This song reminds me of the evil Tinsley Ellis, I love this song. It’s
great, every aspect of it."

Blue Baby! This song has a great mood to it. Kinda Muddy Waters meets
Texas groove, nice work.
